Founded in early 2025 in Flushing, New York City, by Claire White and Anya Petrova, Polaris is a boutique literary agency that aims to champion stories from every background deserve to be seen, supported, and celebrated.We invite writers whose work broadens perspectives—across culture, identity, genre, and experience—to send us their queries, and we partner closely with our authors to help their books find the readers they’re meant for.We recently divested from our previous webhost as it was an Israeli company and Polaris Literary solidly supports the BDS movement.

Claire White
Claire White is a co-founder of Polaris Literary Agency and a lifelong advocate for stories that spark connection. With a background in editorial development for 7+ years with PRH, Sourcebooks, independent presses, and community-based arts programs, she brings a warm, collaborative approach to championing authors. Claire is especially drawn to voices that challenge assumptions, expand empathy, and blend beautiful writing with a strong sense of place.MSWL: character-driven adult fiction; upmarket and literary novels with emotional depth; dark speculative elements; multicultural family sagas; narrative nonfiction centered on identity, belonging, or overlooked histories; and anything with sharp, honest humor and a big heart.
